Non Bootable Device on windows machines.

We have detected that some customers have problems with the installation of windows servers. This is basically because the storage is below the recommended value of 35GB of storage given by the guidelines of Microsoft. If this is not the case, please open a ticket.

If this is the case, you need to mount the iso to make a manual installation of the OS. For this you need to:

  1. Go to your solusvm panel at https://vpanel.hosterlabs.net

2. Change the boot order to (1) CD ROOM (2) HARD DRIVE

3. On the tab "CDroom" mount the iso of your choice. For now, we only have windows 2016 and 2019 available, as this issue is not common with the 2012 version.

4. Reboot your server

5. Install .iso via VNC

Network configuration is automatic. You will not need to configure networking.

You do need to configure Remote Desktop by going to settings and enabling it, if you wish to connect via RDC.
